I'm trying to read the best SF novels ever written and blog a rating for each. The idea is not to summarize but to review. I'd like to get in touch with others reading similar work or doing a similar project for a chat and exchange of opinions.

Update: Alastair Reynolds on the Kindle
In the last post I moaned about the availability of SF on the Kindle and I cited Alastair Reynolds as an example. It turns out that Alastair Reynolds is available in full in e-book format from Orion and the titles should work fine on the Kindle. Good news. Or maybe not. Typical price for an e-book; £7.99. Typical price for a physical book from amazon; £5. Yikes. I have to pay £3 more to not own a copy? Why are they more expensive? They don't have to print the thing. Or deliver it to my door.
